Masks of Power

OBTAINING AND USING A MASK
1. Simply place the mask upon your face. It will fuse into your skin and begin glowing bright white, illuminating the general area with a shimmering light. This is not at all painful. It will then sink back into your face and disappear.
2. The mask has now become a part of your psyche and will be carried with you as a part of you for as long as you shall live.
3. Any mask can be used at any time so long as you have the correct amount of chakra in your chakra reserves.
4. To use the mask, channel chakra equaling the desired masks rank to your face and then place your right hand on your face. Following this, speak the masks name and pull your hand slowly away from your face straight out. The mask will appear upon your face shimmering white and when it is complete the shimmering will stop and it will look as normal.
5. To withdraw a mask early, simply place your left hand on the mask and state withdraw and push the mask slowly towards your face, it will sink back into your psyche.
6. Each mask can only be used once per topic, including if it was withdrawn early. There is no way around this at all.
7. No bearer may wear two masks at the same time. Trying to do so will cause both masks to become unusable for the remainder of the topic with out further applying their abilities.
8. Using the effect of a mask costs what ever is specified in the description of the mask on top of the cost of brining them forth.
9. Are to be used wisely and sparingly as more often then not they consume much chakra as indicated by fact 8.
10. Masks become spiritually bound to the person which they are bound to, and as such are difficult to remove, however it can be done. This is done by placing both hands upon the face and uttering the phrase "Our bond is broken, release the mask with in for life," and then pull forward. The mask will shimmer into appearance upon the face and then come off in the persons hand. It can then be bound to someone else. The mask will be scorned and will never again be able to be bound to that person.
11. A ninja may use a mask that is one rank higher then they are max. However, still drains the same amount of chakra and is ill advised as it will drain serious amounts of chakra from there reserves.


Name: Hau (Mask of Shielding)

Type: Mask/Supplementary
Natural Abilities: As the name implies, this mask's power centers around the ability to protect the wearer. When faced with an attack that the bearer would be otherwise unable to avoid being hit by, they can call forth this mask to aid them. First the user must be fully aware of the attack in all ways. They must no the name of the attack, the type (ninjutsu taijutsu etc), what if any element it is, and from which direction it is coming from. First the mask will appear upon the persons face, and then the user will funnel an A rank amount of chakra into it. After this the users body will glow with a soft red light, expelling a repulsive chakra created by the mask which will negate the noted attack if it is A rank or below. This will only work on that one attack. It can not be used to block two attacks at once, so if there is another attack coming at the same time, they can only use this to stop one of them. This will not work on S ranked attacks, and can only be used once per topic. This red aura will disappear after it has effectively repelled the attack. This can also be used to protect an ally from harm, but all stipulations still apply.

Name: KauKau (Mask of Breathe)

Natural Abilities: This mask grants the user to be able to breathe underwater by acting as an artificial gill by filtering the water and using chakra to remove the oxygen from it and sending the water back out, and allowing the user to breathe in the oxygen. This mask will drain a C rank amount of chakra per post it is active and can only be held for seven posts.

Name: Miru (Mask of Levitation)

Natural Abilities: This mask is a mask which will provide the bearer with levitation when worn. This only allows the user to go straight up and down and can also prevent the user from falling from extreme heights, at the very least slowing their fall so that they may land with out harm. They can not fly with this mask or move from side to side. The levitation can last as long as the mask is getitng chakra which costs a C rank amount per post it is worn. This can also be used to levitate others, even multiple people, but it will cost an additional C rank amount of chakra per person the effect is used on, there fore draining chakra much faster.

Name: Kakama (Mask of Speed)

Natural Abilities: This mask provides the bearer with greater speed they are normally capable of with out having to focus any sort of attention on the process. However, the mask will drain a C rank amount of chakra per post it was kept out. Effectively it multiplies the users speed by 2.5x by channeling the chakra it drains down to the users feet, and expelling a D rank out each foot, creating greater force when the person pushes off of the ground, lengthening their stride and propelling them forward faster. It can only be used for 5 posts.

Name: Pakari (Mask of Strength)

Natural Abilities: This mask is parallel to Kakama in its ability, only it does it through strength and not speed. The Mask will drain a C rank amount of chakra per post it is active and then channel the chakra it drained into the muscles of the user, causing them to increase their over all strength by 2.5x. This mask can only be kept out for 5 posts.

Name: Akaku (Mask of Sight)

Type: Mask/Supplementary
Natural Abilities: This mask is largely not powerful, though it is extremely useful, having three capabilities, instead of the usual one associated with a mask of power. All of these are associated with sight. Each one is associated with one of the different lenses that cover the right eye of the bearer. The top lens allows the user to see farther distances, enhancing their vision by up to 50 meters further then normal. The middle one which is slightly offset and also the smallest, does the opposite, acting as a microscope which can enhance the persons view to a molecular level, but greatly narrows their line of sight. The bottom most lens allows them to see through up to six inches of material, granting them limited X-ray vision. The mask will drain a D rank amount of chakra per post it is out, and an addition D rank will be drained in the event of switching lenses. When brought out, it will be set to which ever lens the user needs. It is limited to a 7 post usage.

Name: Huna (Mask of Concealment)

Natural Abilities: This mask grants the user total invisibility, cloaking them from being able to be seen. However, the bearer will still cast a shadow, and it also does not conceal them from any other senses then sight, although it does mute the users foot steps to not be detectable at all. This mask has a 5 post limit and will drain a C rank amount of chakra every post it is kept out.

Name: Rau (Mask of Translation)

Type: Mask/Supplementary
Natural Abilities: This mask is exactly as the title states. It drains a D rank amount of chakra per post and transfers it to the entire portion of the brain that deals with language. The mask holds knowledge on all things involving written and spoken. It works as a translator for the person, able to decode any language read or heard. This includes both different languages and also codes/encryptions. Strangely, even though it is not considered language, it also allows the user to communicate with animals as well, though this may not always prove effective in any way. In turn it also allows anyone or any animal to understand what they say by translating it for each persons ears to their native tongue, including animals.

Name: Komaru (Mask of Mind Control)

Natural Abilities: This mask grants the user control over a single person or animal. However, this holds heavy stipulations. When used on a person, the person must be completely willing for this to happen, or be under the influence of am A ranked or higher genjutsu. When they do have control of the person, they can control the person in any way, even using their jutsu through them, also being able to read any information they wish that the person may hold in their brain so it is also a useful interrogation technique. When used on animals, they can gain control of any animal at will. This is limited to one living being. This mask drains a B rank amount of chakra per post, with a 5 post limit.

Name: Ruru (Mask of Night Vision)

Natural Abilities: This mask gives the user, simply the ability to see in the dark. Also they can use the mask as a large flashlight, casing a beam of light originating from their mask. This mask drains a D rank amount of chakra per post with a limit of 10 posts.

Name: Matatu (Mask of Telekinesis)

Type: Mask/Supplementary
Natural Abilities: Matatu has the ability to move lifeless objects with no chakra/special abilities through the air through force of will. It has sever limitations on this, however, unlike most other masks, it does not have a post limit, it has a use limit and will be removed after it is used five times. When used it has the ability to manipulate up to five of these objects so long as the objects are in the measurements of a cubic foot. By manipulating objects larger then a cubic foot but less then 3 cubic feet, they are restricted to 3 objects. If the object is greater then that but less then 5 cubic feet, they are restricted to only one item. This manipulation will last for two posts, and will drain a C rank amount of chakra per post used.

Name: Calix (Mask of Performance)

Type: Mask/Supplementary
Natural Abilities: This mask is again, very much akin to its name. When used, it will cause the bearer to be able to perform at their peak level for ten full posts. This does not enhance their abilities past what they could do other wise, it just basically makes the user feel fully revitalized and undrained while it is in effect, allowing them to perform uninhibited by physical fatigue. This does nothing to revitalize their chakra reserves. This drains a D rank amount of chakra per every post it is out for the first five posts, and the last five, will drain a C rank. This chakra is used to keep the body at its peak level. Once the mask is removed and the effects end, they will feel tired and fatigued, performing at about half their normal capability physically for the remainder of the fight. It is typically useful for the end of the fight.

Name: Elda (Mask of Detection)

Type: Mask/Supplementary
Natural Abilities: This mask allows the user to detect any life form in the immediate area of 50m. Anything with in this area can not be concealed from the bearer. This is done by detecting the essence of life itself in certain objects and beings. It can also be used to detect if the deceased or actually dead. This includes fake medical induces death states. This mask can be held out for a total of 10 posts and costs a C rank amount of chakra per post used. It can also be used to determine if someone is who they say they are if they know who the real person is from previous encounters.

Name: Suletu (Mask of Telpathy)

Type: Mask/Supplementary
Natural Abilities: This mask allows the bearer to open a mental path way of communication between the user and one other target. To use this the user has to have the target in their sights, though does not have to be seen in return. This mask has no real limit, though it does drain a C rank amount of chakra for every 4 posts it remains active. If the user loses sight of the target, the connection will end but the mask will not disappear, meaning they can reconnect if they catch sight of them again.

Name: Sanok (Mask of Accuracy)

Type: Mask/Supplementary
Natural Abilities: This is one of the simplest masks in the set. It gives the wearer pinpoint accuracy, causing them to be able to hit anything dead on with in a 50 meter radius. After the 50 meters, the mask will have no effect and the projectile can go array. This can be used with any thrown or fired object (arrows). For every throw or fired round, it will cost a C rank amount of chakra, giving the projectile the masks power of being unable to miss if the target is still and nothing intercepts it. Again this mask has no post limit, but constant cost to use it.

Name: Iden (Mask of Spirit)

Type: Mask/Supplementary
Natural Abilities: Iden is a very useful tool for communicating information over vast distances. When used, the spirit of the user will exit the body, appearing as a Smokey specter above the bearer of the mask. While in this form their body is completely vulnerable, and so it is best to be used in a safe place, or with a trusted guard keeping watch. In the Smokey form, the user can travel ridiculously fast as a barely noticeable cloud of smoke traveling through the air and forming into the shape of their physical appearance upon arrival. While in this form they can do nothing to any person, not able to touch anything or cast any jutsu. They can be viewed by anyone, but are not detectable by chakra sensing or life force sensing abilities. They also produce no heat and so do not appear to those abilities either. This has no range or limit either, only an A rank amount of chakra when used, and an A rank amount of chakra once the person returns and re-enters the body.

Name: Arthron (Mask of Sonar)

Type: Mask/Supplementary
Natural Abilities: This mask grants the user the ability to see through sonar, creating sound waves through the golden lower portion of the mask. It is useful in cases when the person can not see such as if it is pitch black or if they go blind permanently or temporarily. This mask can only be used for 10 posts, and has a D rank amount of chakra drain per five posts of usage.

Name: Tryna (Mask of Reanimation)

Type: Mask/Supplementary
Natural Abilities: This mask is highly powerful and its use is by far the most restricted of all the masks of power. Its core ability is brining back someone from the dead. This can be used on anyone, aside from the bearer. When it does get used, instead of receding back into the person who used it, it will crumble into ashes, unable to be used by anyone else ever again. There is two different stipulations on it for two different situations. These come into play with the intentions and motivations to the revival. The first set is in the event of a genuine want for the person to be alive again. This will only cost the existence of the mask plus 3x chakra amount of the persons being revived rank. If the person is being revived with evil intentions or just to use the person, it will be successful, but at the cost of the persons life.

Name: Pehkui (Mask of Diminishment)

Type: Mask/Supplementary
Natural Abilities: This mask instantly makes the user, as well as everything that they are wearing and their weapons shrink to the height of about six inches in total height. However the user still will have all of their power, be just as strong, and contain as much chakra. Speed however does diminish in proportion to size. This makes the user difficult to fight to say the least. It costs a C rank amount of chakra every 3 posts it is kept out with a limit of 9 posts usage.

Name: Kualsi (Mask of Quick Travel)

Type: Mask/Supplementary
Natural Abilities: This mask grants the user a very limited access to the ability of teleportation. First off this mask MUST NOT BE USED IN BATTLE, unless the battle has ended or if the user is not a part of it and only observing. The concentration needed for this can not be obtained in the heat of battle by any person. It is physically impossible. The person must have a good idea as to what the location looks like, (seeing a picture of the place is enough), and then must use this mask. Also this can only be used once in a 24 hour period. The user can take up to one other person along with them. Additionally it will drain an A rank amount of chakra for every Five hours of normal travel time covered, and will be doubled if taking another person with them.

Name: Pouk (Mask of Emulation

Type: Mask/Supplementary
Natural Abilities: The mask of emulation allows a very limited ability to copy abilities that the bearer does not already posses. This excludes any weapon abilities, mask of power abilities, or KKG. This mask does not have a limited number of posts it can be used. Now when used, the bearer must view the jutsu being used, then, will expend an A rank amount of chakra to the mask, causing to glow brightly. For a one time use it will copy the ability, and the bearer of the mask will be able to use it ONE TIME ONLY. After that the user would have to repeat the process to do the jutsu again. Also, if the mask is removed before the copied ability is used, they will not be able to use the copied jutsu. The jutsu will cost its normal amount of chakra for the bearer to use it. This mask must be worn before the original jutsu is used in order for this to work.

Name: Jutlin (Mask of Corruption)

Type: Mask/Supplementary
Natural Abilities: Jutlin is a very powerful and direct mask. It has in essence, the ability to crumble an object of inorganic matter into dust. This excludes any living thing or object containing chakra. The way it works is through vibrations directed by the way the mask is facing, generally through th eyes of the mask specifically. Now these vibrations hit specifically the point that the mask is focused on and are so fast and extreme that they are unseen and unnoticeable aside from the effect they have on the object. From the central point, the object will begin to crumble to dust and move outward in a circular direction. This process will continue until either the item in question is completely crumbled or if the power is disrupted in some way. The bearer must have full concentration on the item at hand and can not use jutsu while this is hapening or other wise fight in anyway while the power is activated. If the mask moves out of line with the object, the process will stop. This mask has no post or use, but it requires an A ranked amount of chakra to activate the power, every time it is used. The rate of this is about a 1 meter of "corruption" in diameter every post.

Name: Asva (Mask of Hunger)

Type: Mask/Supplementary
Natural Abilities:This mask is of medium power, and focuses on the act of draining certain substances from certain sources. Primarily this works on heat and light. When concerning heat, it has virtually no limitations on the amount it can take in, but it is reduced to a 20m radius. Each post the heat draining ability is active it drains about 10 degrees Fahrenheit. This drains a C rank amount of chakra. It can not drain heat from individual objects etc, and so is a generalized event. The same is for light, though it works a bit differently. Its ability has to do with range of sight, but is not restricted to what is seen, but rather how far the eye can see when unobstructed. In this way the mask has the ability to turn almost an entire village into darkness when activated. This ability comes when the mask is brought out and has no additional cost. It will completely drain any light sources created from earth, such as artificial lights, fires, etc. They will still be there and emitting energy, but unable to produce light. As an added effect it will even dim the sun, simply making it seem as though there were a cloud over head, the same going for the moon.

Name: Shelek (Mask of Scilence)

Type: Mask/Supplementary
Natural Abilities: This mask is fairly simple and also relies on direction via the way the mask is facing, mainly attributed with the eyes of the mask. The power is restricted to one target only. Effecitve immedieatly, it will cause the target to go both temporarily deaf and mute, unable to hear any sound, or create any noise from their mouth at all. This is a great defensive way for the user to go around unnoticed and launch sufficient surprise attacks. This mask only lasts for 5 posts after is effect is activated and costs a D ranks worth of chakra per post.

Name: Kiril (Mask of Regeneration)

Type: Mask/Supplementary
Natural Abilities: This mask is the polar opposite of Jutlin, as it is used to recreate rather then tear apart, again only working on nor organic objects. However this can be used on objects that once held chakras. To be used the bearer must have in their sight all the materials that were part of the original object, (meaning they can not replace it, must be the exact original material), and the process will begin. It can be used to make it incomplete as well. This will cost a B rank amount of chakra per usage, and like Jutlin, each use lasts until interrupted, or if the object is completed. Also with objects that once had chakra in them, the user will have to extend chakra equal to its rank, or the object will not retain its old properties. It will work in the confines of 1 meter squared per post. It also has no use limit.
