Shadow V.s. Sasuke

Within the vast forest outside of Konoha, where the battle would take place, lied an open field nestled in the surrounding forest. The grass was recently dampened by the recent morning dew, the dirt was soft but not wet the point that there would be mud. All around was thick brush from small forest ferns to bushes and trees. If one would venture to the right, or left in the opposing sides case, one would soon find themselves come across a small pond with many animal life. What some would call a well balanced water shed due to the healthy and strong forest around. Birds sang songs of joy as they fluttered about in the vast open skies, not a cloud was in sight and soon enough the sun would be peeking over the horizon of the forests edge to light the area of battle.

Shadow stood reading a book in his hand, the sun had just recently set and there wasn’t too much of a breeze tonight, though there still was that chilly feeling of the early morning. In all honesty, Shadow didn't have too much of a reason to be there except for the sheer point of relaxation, but he still kept himself on high alert for you never near what could be lurking around especially in the shinobi world.

From where man was sat, he may have noticed huge fireballs shooting into the sky, but it ws doubtful as the flew without a sound, miles from his position.

Sasuke flickered into the clear view of the man, and began to walk forward, towards him. As he walked, he slowly drew the kusanagi.

The sun dissapeared behind a storm could, bringing an eerie chill over the soon to become battle feild. Sasuke tried to catch the mans gaze as he quickly progressed forward. Jumping over the pond and landing with a squelch of mud on the other side.

Sasuke smiled and stood still, "Hello," he said.

As he heard the sound of someone greeting him, Shadow held his finger up, indicating to “hold on” so he could finish these last couple of words in the chapter. Once he was finished with them, Shadow let out a sigh as he stood up so that he could place the small book back in the comfort of his right back pocket.

As he looked up, he noticed the unsheathed blade which must of meant that he had either just finished battle or was preparing for a battle, and judging from the sound of the metal slowly disposing itself from it’s home in the sheathe, it seemed like he was preparing.

Shadow simply leaned his left arm on his own Arashi Sword sitting comfortably on the left side of his waist as he addressed the person standing before him with his own smile on. “And hello to you. Too who due I owe this pleasant greeting to?”

Sasuke blinked opening his eyes again to reveal that they had taken the form of a red and black star. He smiled, taking off his straw hat and placing it on the ground.

"Uchiha, Sasuke," He said confidently knowing that the man was going to die regardless of wether he knew his name or not.

More storm clouds gathered above, and the rain began to fall, begining to dampen the black robe spotted with red clouds. "And your name?" Sasuke questioned the man.

Whilst he weilded the the sword with his right hand, he held out his left, catching the droplets of rain on his palm and looking up towards the sky. A bolt struck, about two miles away, but still, the incredibly large sound of the thunder made the trees shiver.

Shadow’s eyes widened a bit, but quickly went back to its normal half open state, this was his way of being incredibly surprised “Kumori Harinezumi”. Shadow didn’t expect to meet Konoha’s possibly legendary S rank Missing Nin. The so called sole surviving member of the Uchiha clan standing not but a few meters away from him and obviously threatening his very own life.

Though he didn’t have all the information on Sasuke, he did know the rumors and stories about them and Shadow was fairly well at deciphering fact from fiction on the Uchiha name. The so called “Sole Surviving Avenger” was starting to put a bad name to his mother’s clan and now it was time to that Shadow had the opportunity to clear the slate clean with Sasuke’s blood, either that or dirty it even more with his own.

What ever the result would be, there would be no denying it now, a fight would ensue them both. He took a look at the Akatsuki robe and the unusual appearance of the Sharingan in his eye, no doubt the Mangakyou Sharingan that his mother told him so much about as well as the uniform of the top class organization he was told much about also by the Raikage.

It was no joke now, Shadow would have to break his self code and take this seriously from the get-go. He took a deep breath as he slowly unsheathed his own blade and got in his battle ready position while keeping his eyes to his opponent's midsection. “Kumori Harinezumi. Gennin of the Clo—Leaf Village.”

"Genin, Ha, I must have the wrong man. Well, I suppose I will initiate the fight regardless."

Sasuke dissapeared. Then reappeared about twenty feet behind Kumori. His sword began to discharge electricity into the ground.

He began to sprint towards Kumori, before jumping into the air, sword raised above his head. His hair, now soaked through, stuck to the side of his face. He grinned as he began to descend towards Kumori.

Due to Shadow’s eyes not possessing any Tomoe, his reflexes weren’t as good as they usually are, but they were still well enough to keep up with some of the fastest around due to him keeping his bloodline a secret for so long. As Sasuke disappeared, Shadow turned around just enough to see what he was doing through his peripheral vision.

Shadow quickly hopped a bit to the left to avoid Sasuke possible descending attack. As he was slightly above the ground, Shadow simply stabbed Arashi into the ground, making a slight splashing noise from the already small puddle of water to use it as support for elevation and then flipped to his feet.

As soon as he landed, Shadow had already started his handseals from when he jumped and all that was left was to let out the chakra so he let the wave of electricity fly from his hand as he performed his electromagnetic murder jutsu, putting enough chakra into it so that, with the rain as the medium, the jutsu would cause some serious damage.

He fell towards the ground, examining Kumori through the corner of his eye. Sasuke touched the ground lightly, with the toes of his left, and slowly lowered himself to the ground. He stood still, as if letting the lightning hit him. But then it stopped dead, and for a split second, the specteral for of Susansnoo flickered, before dissapearing again.

Sasuke smiled, and began to preform handsigns. He held his hand infornt of his mount, in a circle form and blew through it. A huge fireball began to be created, it shot forward with incredible speed towards Kumori.

He preformed more hand signs, yet this time, nothing physical happened. Sasuke stood still, waiting for Kumori to make his move. Ha ha, Tsukyomi, I wonder if he's heard of it, all he has to do is look at me.

Shadow started to feel his clothes stick to him as the rain kept pouring out and the natural lightning striking down in a distance bring him right back home in the Land of Lightning. But right now wasn’t the time to think of that, right now was the time to think about what Sasuke had just done to block his lightning attack. As the lightning flashed on that moment, Shadow did catch something around his that seemed almost like a ribcage of some sort. Was that part of the Mangakyou Sharingan?

Shadow didn’t have too much information on it other than how to get it and another rumor on what it can do, including an illusion that could literally make almost a lifetime last a second or a never ending flame.

But Shadow had to be prepared for anything for anything if he wanted to live through this bout. As the intense flame started to come at him, Shadow realized that the rain would start to weaken the Katon jutsu a little, giving him a small opening so Shadow quickly pulled out three kunai that had a string with an explosion tag attached to each of them and dashed to the right while throwing them right before where Sasuke stood, keeping them close enough to the fire so it could ignite them and they would explode about a second after reaching the fire.

As the kunai burst into the flames of the ball, they exploded, sending the flames sky high and forming a wall of flames between Sasuke and Kumori.

The flames flickered, as if somethign huge had penetrated through them. Susanoo's arm became visible for a moment, moving quickly towards Kumori. Sasuke saw the arm flicker for a moment, Damn it, I guess he isn't going to fall for tsukyomi either. He though deactivating Tsukyomi.

Susanoo came into its full specteral being, massive, covered with plate armor and holding a huge sword and sheild. And then it disapeared. As the flames began to clear, Sasuke stood still, now it was Kumori's turn to strike.

As the intense lightning flickered over and over, Shadow couldn’t help but catch a glimpse of something he has never seen before in his life. It seemed to have been the skeleton of a warrior completely equipped with a giant sword, a shield and armor.

Normally, a shinobi would probably be overcome by fear by now, but it was quite the opposite for Shadow, the adrenaline was finally starting to pump into his blood he witnessed the giant beast formed and deformed right before his very eyes. After that quick introduction had occurred, Shadow noticed that the flames that he had created were starting to clear out.

He didn’t exactly know how much chakra Sasuke would have in him by now, but creating something like that had to take a good amount from him. Now Shadow was starting to prepare for his strike so he flipped the sword in his hand a little before taking a deep breath and dashing forward with intense speed, thrusting out Arashi with in a piercing fashion.

He watched as Kumori sprinted towards him. A bolt of lightning, not one hundred meters struck a tree, it fell to the ground hard, the sound of branches cracking. But he didn't turn his head, and nothing ever would during a fight.

Sasuke drew his sword, at the ready, whilst tracking Kumori's every movement, knowing perfectly where his position would be when he struck.

Sasuke waited until the last second, when the sword touched his clothes, before sidestepping the attack, holding out his sword at exactly where Kumori's neck height was going to be from the reaction of Sasuke raising his sword.

Shadow honestly could say that he didn’t really expect so a simple yet beautifully done counter on the part of Sasuke, but then again, he has been known to be one of the most notorious criminals to hail from Konoha. Without a second though Shadow used the terrain to his advantage utilizing the slipperiness of the wet ground to allow his feet to slip back as he pushed them forward, bringing his body down backwards.

While falling, Shadow quickly turned his body around so that his hands could be touching the ground as he twisted around in an attempt to sweep Sasuke’s feet from under him.

Sasuke watched, smiling at Kumori. He jumped, landing on Kumori's legs, pinning him to the floor. He sheathed his sword, and began to clap, "Brilliant, there were only very few ways to dodge my attack and you did it perfectly, and with a counter, but unfortunately for you, that means that I must kill you, as even someone who can dodge the most simple attack dealt from me is a threat." Sasuke's smile vanished, milliseconds before he did, not noticable by anyone without the sharingan.

He appeared knelt beside Kumori, the dull edge of his sword pressed against his neck, only a quater turn away from decapitating Kumori in one clean sweep, and combined with Sasuke's immense speed, it would happen in the time it took for light to pass just a single centimetre.

"I'm dissapointed, for a moment there I thought you showed an ounce of strength, quite obviously i was mistaken."

Sasuke initiated the deadly move, turning the blade, about to slice clean through the delicate muscle tissue of the human neck.

Shadow watched as Sasuke kept ranting on about his attacks while all at the same time, he was calculating and making a few quick decisions in his mind. Shadow thought about the thing’s he has been told and about what he could make of this entire situation while keeping himself from going too far, but that didn’t seem to be an option as Shadow felt his neck make contact with solid steel.

As Sasuke said another piece of insult that he seemed to be known for, Shadow made a decision then and there that this was going to be a match where he would give it his all. He hated using this too much for it gave him the feel that he needed an advantage to win in battle, but the way of the ninja is to work with what you have and Shadow knew what he had.

Shadow took, but a split second to close his eyes for just a bit. Just as soon as Sasuke initiated his attack and was split seconds away from cutting Shadow’s head clean off, Shadow brought his left arm forward as he grabbed Sasuke’s hand with his own, tightening his grip as he kept Sasuke from moving an inch more. Shadow’s eyes were open now, staring directly into Sasuke’s with only a few changes, three to be exact as that was how many Tomoe Shadow held within his left eye as his Sharingan pierced into Sasuke’s. “Do you still think…”

Without a moment’s notice, Shadow appeared behind Sasuke as his custom made Chaos Control came into play, his hand still gripping Sasuke’s as he held it up to his neck, using the dull edge to press against it . Just then, Shadow simply let go of Sasuke’s hand and turned his back towards him, walking off about five meters before turning around to face him, swinging his head around a bit to get his right back from covering his eye . “…that you were mistaken?”

"Yes, I was mistaken and I still am! I could kill you in a single blow, but still, I allow you to live. And your sharingan, it is nothing compared to mine." Whilst he spoke, his eyes kept making tiny movements, not visible to even Kumori with the three tomoe.

He sheathed his sword as if waiting for Kumori to attack, and sat on the ground. He could see Susanoo clearly, but it was entirley invisible to Kumori.

The huge spectral being grasped Kumori, holding him still, not capable of a single movement.
"Now, I'm going to give you two options. How do you want to die? The eternal flames of Amaterasu, or the lightning dragon, Kirin?"

While Sasuke was giving him his choice of death, Shadow couldn’t help but yawn a bit due to his recent tire of the same arrogance that seemed to be getting worse by the second. Shadow didn’t know if this was to get under his skin or if Sasuke was just always this way with anyone he crossed paths with, but that didn’t seem to bring out Shadow’s best interests at the moment. Once they were both finished, Shadow placed his finger on his chin as if he were considering it with great thought.

Once he seemed to be finished with his thinking, Shadow simply sheathed his blade, but actually leaving it right by the sheathe on his waist. “I’m not real god on guessing so I guess I’ll let you choose for me. But keep in mind though that whatever you choose, you do quickly because…”

Shadow then proceeded with his Chaos Control once again as he seemingly just appeared out of nowhere behind Sasuke, with his back touching his. “… you would actually find out that it’s pretty hard to keep up with me.” With that, Shadow pushed his exposed blade which was still in the same position back so that it may puncture Sasuke’s lower back.

Sasuke stepped too the side of Kumori, taking his time, as the blade slowly continued forward into the space he was just in.

"I have grown tired of this fight Kumori, I will see you on the other side, when my time comes."

Sasuke activated Amaterasu in his eye, and looked up from the ground, he opened his eye when it was tracked perfectly on Kumori's head.

Once Shadow started feeling the slightest movement behind his back, he his head ever so slightly to catch what Sasuke would be doing at this time. As soon as Sasuke’s left eyelid started to move downward, Shadow’s Tomoe spun in his eyes as Chaos Control started to initiate and, combined with his not so bad speed, Shadow simply quickly moved away from Sasuke’s vision before he had the time to even focus any amount of chakra.

Once Shadow was around just a few meters from Sasuke's back, he simply performed two handsigns and placed his hands on the ground for a second, yet nothing happened. Without a second thought, Shadow kept his eye on Sasuke as he jumped back another 5 meters in a traditional dual like fashion, since he wasn’t traveling too far nor keeping Sasuke in it for that long, the jutsu didn’t take that much toll on him Chakra wise so eh could keep doing this for a good few.

Shadow didn’t know how much Chakra Amaturesu would take out of Sasuke, but judging from the blood that was escaping from his right eye, it had to have taken quite a toll on him. Shadow simply stood up and turned around in the direction of Sasuke. “I’m actually growing quite tired of this also, so why don’t you finish this?” Shadow took a quick note to stay alert at all times.

If Sasuke did have some super strong attack, it would probably take too much Chakra to use now so late in battle. Even if he still had someway of making an attack of such high standards, whether it is high chakra capacity or control, Shadow concluded that as long as he used his high speed, not to mention his signature technique, to keep him from preparing for such an attack, he should be ok.

Sasuke activated tsukyomi. He dissapeared. He landed silently on the branch of a tree, and began to preform hand signs. It took a while, but Kumori still had no idea where he was, and was standing around blindly.

The lightning dragon, Kirin, shot from the clouds above. Even if he managed to get out of the way of the main bolt, he would not have the time to move out of the distance for the heat wave. He was garanteed to die.

And best of all, Sasuke was behind him, he wouldn't even hear the attack until it was about to strike. Sasuke looked around Kumori, in a very tight circle, the black flames of Amaterasu leapt up around him, they stood hundreds of feet high, preventing Kumori from jumping over them. They lapped up close to him.

Kirin peirced the flames of amaterasu with ease.

Alright, now let's finish it off with Kirin. I'm not sure if you actually understand how it works. Though there already is a lightning storm present, you didn't create a heat signature in that specific area hot enough to practically force the lightning into that specific area where you would be. (Which is why Sasuke had to directly send 4 A ranked fireballs straight into the air in order to use it)

Ok, I fully understand Kirin, and you seem to have made a mistake, although not to insult you, as I'm sure you are indeed very busy and my not have had the time fully read over the whole topic.

I do agree with you on the fact I may have controlled your character slightly, given the fact, you may not have been standing. But I would give you a miniscoule chance of finding me through dense tree whilst I'm behind you. And give Sasuke's speed, even for kirin the preperations would have most likley only taken around five seconds, which would not give you enough time to locate me, unless you had an arial view-point, or had heat vision like predator. If you do have heat vision, I seem to have overlooked something in you character aplication, and for that I would be sorry, seen as I an see you so the heat given off from the small area not hidden behind leaves, eg. my face. But taking it that I have not overlooked this, I see no way of you locating me, given that also I made no sound with moving, for example: Silently.

So my conclusion being that I remove the word standing. And write 'Kumori could not possibly locate him, unless he was the predator and so was blind to the fact of Sasuke's location.'

Fair enough? Or would you like me to continue ranting?

Sorry man, I'm a bit annoyed at someone else at the moment, I seems to have 'taken it out' a bit on you in this post.

Though it might have been smart to lead the battle miles from my position, we sort stayed in the exact same position (Or maybe moved 10 inches or so.) But the heat signature was no where near our position. I mean, maybe if it was 5, maybe even 10 meters or so, but miles? I really don't think that would work.



Now, about being able to find you, finding you isn't the issue. The issue is that you assumed I couldn't keep up with you when you "disappeared". The fact of matter is that Sasuke really isn't that fast compared to must Jounin-Kage level ninja. And also given the fact that my character possesses Sharingan and specializes in Taijutsu, possessing more of a lightning style of combat. That in its own makes him extremely fast, a majority of Kumo ninja are actually very fast to be honest, added with the fact that you used up a good amount of chakra using pure MS techniques, plus those fireballs? Also, not sure exactly sure about this part so I could be wrong, I think a Chidori technique was squeezed in there.


(Now, I'm not mad at you and I'm not trying to mess with you, this is what Rping is about and this is bound to happen to anybody. At least ONE time, someone's going to say that you made a few mistakes in your posts.)

I'm currently fed up of arguing seen as I have done it almost none stop today, so I'm going to agree with you. No, Kirin then.
